Socha - The hidden vulnerablility of others

This body of work explores the connection between internal emotions and external personas. It is an observation of the human condition that we are all vulnerable but have the capacity to develop inner strength.

The work stems from an interest in architectural qualities and the hidden potential of the making process. It reveals the coexistence of vulnerability, fragility and inner strength we each potentially hold. I explore the communication of this in ceramics – a medium often considered fragile, which involves a process of building with structural integrity to create sculptures of strength.
