Beatrice Wadey - Ceramic Artist
Beatrice Wadey is a London and Kent-based ceramic artist.
Graduating with a BA (hons) in Ceramic Design from Central Saint Martins in July 2026. Specialising in creating slab-built sculptures, exploring the relationship between structure, form and void. Her creative approach is methodical yet experimental. Intuitively, using unpredictable techniques, such as Raku firing, to convey movement and capture the energy of a moment, the essence of an emotion, or an aspect of the human condition.
Alongside her contextual sculptural-based practice, Beatrice leads ceramic community engagement projects, for example, workshops responding to museum archives and art exhibitions. She also teaches handbuilding and throwing at The Ceramic Studio, Brenchley.
Her experience includes working on a variety of projects ranging from community-based workshops to commercial projects.
